Collection of essays
The manuscript includes different essays: An essay by Muhammad Taqi Burghani (1758- 1845) and another by Shaykh Muhammad Razi Gilani. The collection also includes these three: Explanation and receipt for doing prayers on behalf of the deceased Sayyidah Kulsum, the daughter of Haji Sayyid ʻAli (Dod. 1898) and the will of Muhammad Razi, the son of Mirza Kuchak (including instructions for paying the mahr of two wives). The will is dated 6 November 1900. At the end of the manuscript there is a short part on the etiquette of marriage.

Will of Khavar Khanum, daughter of Mahmud Khan Kalantar (sherrif), wife of Mirza Riza Quli Jarrah Bashi (surgeon). In this will matters such as assigning the executor of the will and endowment of a shop are mentioned. The will was changed after the death of one of the executors.

Question from Mirza Sadiq
Istifta’ [request for the opinion of a Muslim cleric] from Mirza Sadiq about two subjects. The first asks if a will is valid if a testator wills that his children spend the revenue from his property on his behalf but the inheritors are all female, or if all the children die and the only inheritor is the wife, or if that the inheritors could not execute the will. The second question is about disinheriting one's child.

Mah Sultan's will, 1903
Khayr al-Nisa’ Baygum, known as Mah Sultan, the daughter of Haji Mirza ‘Abd al-Muttalib, has appointed Aqa Mirza Muhammad Sahib Amin al-Tujjar, the son of Haji ‘Abd al-Husayn Amin al-Tujjar from Shiraz, as the executor of her will regarding her inherited property from her late husband, Haj ‘Abd al-Husayn, as her mahr and as half of her one-eighth share. Khayr al-Nisa’ has left all her belongings to her daughter, Fatimah Baygum known as Bibi Kuchak, for which she is responsible for the cost of forty years of prayers and fast on behalf of her mother.

Probably from Hamid al-Sultan, complaining that the addressee does not send letters, mentioning sending a letter to Asif al-Sultan and Aqa-yi Muntasir to ask for financial assistance; discussing the will of the father, the inheritors, and carrying of his corpse, and urging the addressee to write to Sarkar ‘Aliyah; seal of Hamid on verso.
